In compliance with proper vehicle management, it is a good practice to have a written standard operating procedure (SOP) that outlines the duties and expectations concerning vehicle management. Having a standard policy with guidelines will help everyone who is involved with maintaining company assets. People need to know the proper protocol and how to deal with certain situations. A vehicle management policy will provide this direction. Everyone will be on the same page and not question why certain things such as continuously evaluating the vehicle management programs and policies to find areas for improvement.
