Two College Students Wonder if They are Exhibiting the Symptoms of Alcoholism
Betty and Katie had been friends since junior high school. Now that they were seniors in college, they had become the best of friends. Not only did they have the same major, but they pretty much did everything together. And unfortunately, this included drinking to an excess. One Sunday afternoon after an especially heavy night of drinking Katie called Betty and said that she was concerned about their drinking behavior. Was it possible that they have been exhibiting some of the signs and symptoms of alcoholism? Should they go to the student health center and get a complete physical exam and an alcohol evaluation? Betty shared some of the same concerns as Katie and said that they probably should go and talk to a therapist at the student health center the following morning.
