Prevent an emergency. Roll up Garage Door safety and security should be foremost in your mind, especially when kids and pets are around. Follow these tips to keep everyone safe:

1. Install emergency release- We take for granted that when we push the button that it will rise. What happens when the power is out? If it doesn’t come with one, make sure to install an emergency release kit so you can open it from the outside when the power is out. A pulley system unhooks the electric opener so you can do it manually. 2. Install motion sensors- Most, if not all, doors come with motion sensors. But, for them to work, they must be installed properly. Make sure the laser eyes match up on each side. When an object breaks the connection, it reverses back up. This could save a child’s or a pet’s life.
