There are many Internet resources available for families who are home schooling their children, and the good news is that the majority of them are free.  Parents can find websites devoted to home schooling issues such as state requirements, class materials, how to involve their children in extracurricular activities, and ways to provide social interaction with other home schoolers their age.  One way that parents solve this problem is for one family to work with a group of students.  This works well if the children are the same age.  In areas where there are many home schooled children, parents have formed sports teams and bands so the students experience a well rounded educational experience.  Home schooling may not be for everyone, but many families are finding it a rewarding method of educating their children.
