Adding Industrial Training to Adult Education Program Is a Great Idea
I teach an at an adult learning facility, mostly to people who are just trying to get their GED. However, some of these folk want to go on with more education outside a college setting. They will never be able to afford university tuition. We are putting in place an industrial training introductory course just for this type of person. Getting introduced to equipment, procedures, and safety policies will be the first step towards preparing themselves to work in an industrial setting. These will be excellent jobs for many of my students, and as the economy slowly comes around, better times are ahead, I am sure.
