What is it with the codes?
When someone has one cell phone and they buy another or change their service plan then they have to somehow take their phone number along with them unless they don’t want it anymore. If you want to do this you have to call and get a Pac code. This is short for something called the Port Authorization code and basically just let the new service know it is okay and is your number not somebody elses number your trying to get on your phone. I guess this could get confusing if they made mistakes so they use the codes to prevent mixing up.
