Planning for a west coast cruise
It seemed that Rental car Picton was the obvious choice of company to deal with when heading to the south island via the Cook Strait. We were on our way to sunny Nelson and then making our way down the west coast with the plan being that we would end up in Queenstown. We had considered picking up a vehicle in the north island and taking that on the ferry but it made more sense and saved us money to get one in the south island. The depot for their office couldn’t have been much handier as it was only a very short walk from the wharf.
